Heheh, whilst watching the interview on Fox with the representative of PETA, she referred to all animals as 'sentient creatures.'

I love fur-lined anything. It's warm and comfortable.

Besides which, where I used to work we gave animals horrible diseases and slaughtered them as *routine*, so I've seen my share of animal rights protesters. I'll tell you something - they feel very stronly about their opinion, but they are complete wusses when you *dare* to confront them. It's like they expect you to be cowed by their superior moral position.

It reminds me of last week's Jeremy Clarkson programme on inventions that changed the world where it was on about the jet. Modern airliners give humans less space on a flight than lifestock like lambs, I know I'd rather have the room they have than the tiny seats. You don't see these guys doing anything about the humans in that position and if they feel so strongly about animal testing, why don't they go in for the testing instead?

I think that most animals possess awareness.
