Also, the FactCheck.org reference Cheney made; maybe not such a good idea. While the article he was referring to is a pretty well-researched piece that pretty much proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Cheney no longer has a financial interest in his former company, it says nothing about the charges of Halliburton that Edwards made during the debate (fraud, doing business with Iran, being under investigation, etc). So it really wasn't proper to point to this website as a rebuttal to those charges.

Also there's the fact that currently on the front page of the website are links to articles which criticize the Bush campaign for distorting facts in campaign commercials. If you were a Republican partisan you might want to hesitate to send people you want to vote for your party to this site.

The winner of this debate will be much harder to determine then the Presidential Debate last week. But overall, I say that Edwards did a good job standing up to Cheney, though Chemeys remark about his attendence is really going to hurt.

Note also that the static picture shown here of Edwards and Cheney together is a bad snippet. In the film footage I saw, they were sitting together, closely so. There's no way you SIT next to someone and not at least introduce yourself.

Trust me, this won't be the end of this either. I'll bet more instances will come out and again, Cheney's attendance record will now be scrutinized. Edwards has voted hundreds of times (if not more) and there's no way you're in that kind of close proximity all that often and not run into the other guy unless the other guy wasn't there.

Threat != WMDs.
Threat != terrorists.

WMDs and terrorists are threats, but they are not the only things which are classified in the category of "threat."
