Not strictly a cartoon, but Clarke and Dawe are the GOATs of Australian political comedy and two and a half minutes falls into "cartoon" format for me.

Rather inaccurate cartoon-only Guantanamo is a legitimate point there

Iraq-Obama has kept his promise-all combat troops have been withdrawn. Much like in say Korea however support troops and advisers are there to stay
Afghanistan-Obama ran on the promise that since Afghanistan was the original war, that he would escalate and win the war there. Obama like most Democrats believe Afghanistan is perfectly justified and that Iraq took away troops from Afghanistan (which is also a major Democratic talking point)
Pakistan-Erhm in 2008 Obama was the one who said he'd support intrusions into Pakistan to get terrorists while McCain campaigned against it. Not to mention its been quite successful-many Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders have been killed in such strikes. I find it amusing a successful policy of the President is condemned.

Sorry didn't see the rule.
El Moose Monstero: That would be the winning song at Eurovision. I still say the Moldovans were more fun. And that one about the Apricot Tree.
That said...it is growing on me.
Thanas: It is one of those songs that kinda get stuck in your head so if you hear it several times, you actually grow to like it.
General Zod: It's the musical version of Stockholm syndrome.

According to Google Translate, the text on that picture says "The development of Greek public debt."

I'm guessing it's a comparison of how the US notes have the same colours for the same denominations as monopoly money.

I think deciphering the symbolism of the Monopoly one merits further discussion in a separate thread. For want of any idea where else to put it, I'll start one in Testing.

Replace "ginger" with "n*gger," and suddenly it become a lot less funny, doesn't it?

I'm not getting it here. Is it saying that the recession was caused by all these companies becoming united into monopolies? :?

No. It's just a graph showing them merging. I did get if off a libertarian blog talking about the "corn-fed banksters," though.

It's not a political cartoon.

Also, while I appreciate your concerns, this is not a thread for chatter.

Okay, I know that sometimes you want to comment on the excellent political cartoons in this thread. I get it, I really do. The problem is that that thread is a political cartoons thread, not a commentary thread. You do not make posts there that don't contain a political cartoon. If you feel strongly about something posted there, then quote it and make a new thread.

All future discussions will be dumped here, and the moderators will consider further actions to be taken.
