Nitpick: you can be held liable for a call to action. "Jews are awful, horrible, monstrous people" would be legally defensible. It is illegal though to threaten a specific person (example: 'Kill the Jew insert name here').
The line between legal/illegal can be vague, but the Phelps's are very careful about not crossing that line.
But laws are different in the UK and perhaps they'll accidentally cross the line.
In which case, feel free to keep them for a while.
