I think it stems from the whole "US and UK have a special relationship" thing. Which basically means in the modern context, at least to conservatards, that when the US says "jump" the UK is expected to ask "how high?" It's just that special. :roll:
No, I mean that what some low-level State Department employee says is all Obama's fault. How? How is that in any way true?

It's taking the "buck stops here" angle to stupid extremes. Yes, Obama is responsible for the people under him. But that doesn't mean he can magically control every little thing they say and do.
