One of us definitely looked before they lept but it sure wasn't me and the fact that it took you this long to compose even this weak justification in support of your accusation is pretty solid evidence of that.

If you're in the position of having no power and essentially being told to "shut up or be banned", your choices are to shut up or go out in a blaze of glory. If a person feels like their ego is at stake, or that they are truly being wronged, then the whole "You can't fire me! I quit!" comes into play. Its just a final "Go fuck yourself" to the powers that be.
