Yeah but people who knowingly build in hazard zones really should expect these sorts of things to happen. There's a reason why I requested a hazard survey of the area where I bought my house.

Well, storm continues. Mass flooding and mudslides as expected. On the important front, this one storm so far dropped a few feet of snow, raising our total annual % of normal a few points. And it's still coming down. Now we only need another...oh...15-20 of these kinds of storms in the next couple months and we'll be fine.
