Its the sense of entitlement common to extremists, and the insecure. They think they are so absolutely right and superior that they should always get everything that they demand. Or they are afraid of losing their position of supremacy, and so respond to anything other than complete dominance as though they are being persecuted.
Like how Right wing assholes will whine about white men being oppressed just because a woman gets the lead role in a film, or Christian fundamentalists will claim Christians are being oppressed because they can't oppress gay people as much as they'd like to.
