I never said or implied anything about it being a false flag, specifically. But if you haven't noticed this administration has a tendency to spew its vitriol everywhere and without much principle for whether it's correct or not. Hell, it's a long-standing American tradition (see the so-called "Axis of Evil") to arbitrarily blame countries we don't like based on tenuous evidence, so you'll have to excuse my well-founded, fact-informed skepticism.

The Trump Whitehouse is too fundamentally lazy and disorganized to try something like the Bush admin's March to war. They'd more likely to implusively bomb something for a little while until they get bored and wander off, while the Murdoch press cheerleads everything.

I disagree, at least partially. Though their approach is chaotic, they also use chaos as a weapon to obfuscate and confuse the opposition. And when they commit to something as a central part of their agenda, like undermining the independence of the Justice Department or putting little brown children in concentration camps, they stick with it. I'd have hoped by now that more people would have learned not to underestimate the ability of Trump and company to manipulate the system.
