BTW bodybags make a great water proof sack for your sleeping bag....that is if your lucky to have a sleeping bag. Poncho liners work good too in the 'ol "zip lock" bag.

I've been there. One must keep in mind that scorpions, camel spiders and scorpions like nice warm places (human bodies) in the cool of the night. I nearly stepped on a sand viper once -- the things are hard to distinguish from the surrounding sand, especially after dark. We MEDEVAC'd a few soldiers due to viper bites and scorpion stings.

Mmmm... I'd almost rather sleep in the dirt than on those marble floors... Marble's hard. I'd bet it's hard to get comfortable. Besides, the palaces have nice lawns, don't they?

That marble might be hard, but I bet it is some what cool in comparison to the sand outside. Nice and refreshing for the grunts. And besides, nothing is too hard to sleep on when your in the infantry.

True. But you have to worry about color-coordination. For example, they pulled off the camo-on-off-white look in this picture, and they obviously pulled off the camo-on-sand... But what if they have to sleep on red or rose tile? That's it. Their cover is blown. Now Sadaam knows where they are.

See, THAT'S what that assmunch keeps saying there aren't any troops in Bagdhad. He can't see the fuckers! They're too well camoflaged! I bet NOW Sadaam wishes he had bought that girlie pink marble tile. Huh.
