so we'll make a deal then, after the war everything north of the St. Lawrence River will hence be called East Ontario and everything south will be called New Michigan.Darth Wong wrote:Unreasonable levies would only make other forms of transport more economically viable, not to mention causing the Americans to invade Quebec and seize control of the waterways in order to prevent economic extortion. A seperate Quebec would also hurt the Canadian economy. "Throwing" french Quebec out might sound good in the current American anti-French climate, but if that's what Canada wanted, we wouldn't have this seperation problem (as Quebec would already be seperate). In fact, one tactic of certain provinces against seperation was to push for a national referendum, instead of just a Quebec vote. There reasoning was that Quebec couldn't seperate w/o Canadian approval, and the seperation vote would be drowned in a sea of "NO". This didn't fly with Quebec (obviously), but thankfully, the last Quebec seperation referendum had 51% voting NO, and 49% Yes.RedImperator wrote: It might not be that simple. Would the rest of Canada have the right to throw Quebec out?

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

It's not soo much that they're obsessed with independence, but they're just a lousy governement. Liberals are not much better either, but they're the least worst of the bunch...

It will be in the giant crater, or at least what's left of it.
