Actually, I think that all of the UC campuses are nicer than Berkeley. Do you know that ONE FOURTH of all the tax dollars collected by the city go to homeless people?

In any case, the funniest comment I ever heard about Berkeley was from a Soviet comic who defected during the Cold War. He had this thick Soviet accent, and was up on stage saying. "Soviet Union and United States are not so different. In United States, you have city everyone make fun of... name of Berkeley. In Soviet Union, we have city everyone make fun of... name of Berkeley."

He was really funny.

Literally or figuratively? :P

Literally, yeah, Santa Barbara is far from being level. I've been up there a number of times already for other reasons.

Anyway, I've heard that most people who go into UCSB end up dropping out, because they party too much. I'm not that much of a party guy for starters, and at any rate I'd be transferring as either an undergraduate or a graduate, not going in as freshman.
In terms of hills, UCLA is the worst. It's a fifteen minute hike to and from the campus to the dorms, there.

That would probably be Yakov Smirnoff.
