Unless you plan on electing Q the problem's still going to have to be there and dealt with. Even if your solution is just pack up and leave there's consequences to that as well. A new president isn't a magical cure all despite your dreams to the contrary.

Yes. He probably does. The hatred for Bush evinced by those on the left is stronger than that for any president since Richard Nixon. To them, everything is Bush's fault. As long as we are committed to occupation duty as we are in Iraq, this sort of tragedy has the potential to occur, no matter who is in charge. But that doesn't matter; it's Bush's fault. Was there an incident where U.S. troops killed bystanders: Bush probably planned it. Were U.S. troops killed by attacking terrorists; Bush let it happen. Is California getting ready to recall Governor Gray Davis; it's an attempt by Bush to subvert democracy in California and engineer a right-wing take over. Did Yasser Arafat undermine moderate Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, derailing the peace process yet again; Bush is behind it. Did your girlfriend just dump you? It's probably because Bush is seeing her on the side -- in short, they blame Bush for EVERYTHING.

Makes me think back fondly to those who voted for Nixon just so that we could get out of Vietnam and it only getting worse. Things will NOT change dramtcially. US troops are occupying a country right now, there's no pulling out now, we do that and we plunge Iraq into a anarchistic state, essentially consinging them to the same fate as Beirut. Nope, we're in this for the long haul, whoever is in office.
Wherever you go, there you are.
