Yes, BS is defending Kim Dong Small. BS is a moron, too, in case you haven't noticed.

Ok. I was fairly sure that was your argument.

As I see it there is two scenarios:

1.
A preemptive strike could become an issue if the donkey fucker truly develops full-blown Megalomania(or already has it). He could be crazy enough to believe he could survive a nuclear war with the U.S.

The question then becomes does he have enough influence to get the KPA to actually launch the nukes?

2.
If he is "just" a very cunning and ruthless dictator then the stupidest thing he could do was to use his nukes.

Well, presuming he is that insane, then I daresay he does. He's an absolute dictator. There are no checks on his power; he wants to push the button then that button is damn well pushed.
It's Rogue, not Rouge!

I think that would depend on the loyalty of his generals.
Most dictatorships rules by fear and violence. That means that people serves not out of a sense of loyalty but selfservice.
IIRC Kim Jong Ill is loved by his people but is this the same in the higher echelons of power ?

And I wonder if they are ignorant enough to not see the consequence of deploying nukes.

Of cource if they are so stupid or loyal to the point of death then its a moot point.

there is a cult of personality surrounding him. The entire nation is set up to be subserviant to him....Hell, he's the only fat North Korean in existance. I have provided documentation to BS on the times he has threatened his neighbors and other powers, but it isn't sinking in to his think skull.

you aren't denying it per se. You are defending the actions of North Korea and attempting to rationize them. Kim Jong Il comes out and says, out of the blue, 'If you antagonize, us we will use nukes'. WTF? How is 'We will nuke you' acceptable in any context? How is testing ballistic missiles by shooting them over Japan acceptable in any context?

Right, I'm rationalising them. But I am not defending them, and am only arguing against your hidden assertion that N Korea would use its nukes preemptively.

Out of the blue? That's the way, keep denying the stunning diplomatic performance by the Whitehouse [especially Shrubs Axis of Evil speech] which provoked N Korea to do its own version of WWF smack talk.

North Korea was pulling this shit long before George Bush was even President. Fuck, they took advantage of the goodwill extented to them by Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter and used the reactor technology given to them under the UN approved plan (which forbade them from using the tech to make nuclear weapons) to immediately begin producing weapons grade plutonium.

Your trips down history lane don't change my opinion that no government, even the N Koreans, are stupid enough to risk nuclear engagement with the United States or one of its buddies.
