Your initial post on the subject came across to me as attributing FGM to Islamic practices and blaming the religion for it, which perception was further reinforced by your reference to Islamic theocracies. Put this way, I see what you were getting at. Misunderstandings happen sometimes. The point I'm also making is that you can reconcile those same practices with Christianity.
