I'm willing to bet the rash of newly registered voters are not signing up in order to gloriously continue the status quo. I'm sure it will be close, but I can't give numbers.
On the other hand, the ever-sane, totally down-to-earth John Hawkins is predicting a Bush victory with a 75-100 electoral vote margin. Someone get a shovel and dig him out of the Gobi Desert.

I have a strange feeling based on conversations I've had with people who normally vote Republican that Kerry might pull off a few upsets.
If Kerry wins Indiana (we've only gone Democrat 4 times since 1900), take it as a coming sign of the Apocalypse and the Four Horsemen™ are saddling up.
