Fair to Use Lynne Cheney's Name?
Moderators: Alyrium Denryle, Edi, K. A. Pital
Is there anyone else who's appalled that this was the biggest topic to come out of the third debate? Considering it was the debate that was solely dedicated to domestic policy it just seems to be a smoke screen to try and hide their lack of domestic policy. Why the media went along with it just infuriates me.

Well it's the media. They hound over 'hot topics'.
In Taiwan during the Presidential debate, a candidate said "I don't hit my wife." And his opponent whined for about 2 or 3 weeks and the whole media was hounding around for details. Note that the candidate didn't actually say anything about his opponent.
And from what I see on the campaigns in the US I think bringing up Cheney's daughter isn't a big deal. Most reasons in previous posts.
