This is middle-America we're talking about here; does Dawkins think the best way to do voter outreach with these folks is to bash a guy for exercising what most Americans (including much of the Democratic base, as well) would regard as a fundamental human right? I've read some of Dawkins' political columns before and was never particularly impressed by them, but he just totally missed the mark here in a spectacular fashion.
Us silly brits and our problems with shooting someone in the back as they run the fuck away...*sigh*
In fairness it was like the 30th time the jackass had burgled him and he didn't actually kill him.
Back on topic this latest stunt by the Guardian just proves once again the type of fruit & nut case that reads the Guardian, being told by a bunch of middle class english left wing extreemist twats who to vote for would make me go completely the other way.

Actually I'd say it shows the ability of some on the right to take things way to seriously.
As publicity stunts go, I'd say it worked fairly well. I mean, let's face it the US election isn't going to be won or lost on the vote of one county in Ohio, by kicking up so much controversy the 'extreemist' right-wingers have basically given the Grauniad all the free advertising it can eat.
