He wants to give them all the legal protections. It's not perfect but in general he's talking about the religious aspects of marriage and I doubt he's going to impose that in a secular setting.

He's not perfect but he's a far better deal than most.

Actually, when asked about this he made a very good point. He said (and I'm paraphrasing here) that the courts were going to be the ones to make the ultimate decision on this. And he's absolutely 100% right.

Why do we need to pass an amendment? Have Arnie run as Veep with some other guy in the primary slot. As I recall, there are no restrictions about foreign-born people running for VP. Once Arnie and whoever he runs with get into the White House, the other guy resigns. Guess who slides into the top spot?

It doesn't work that way, Kuja. Whoever becomes president -- by whatever [legal] means -- must meet the qualifications outlined in the Constitution. Furthermore, I don't think Arnold is eligible for VP.
