It should be noted that the article on Foxnews also says:
The information -- which did not come from an intercepted communication, as the New York Times reported Wednesday -- is of undetermined reliablility, the official said.

Those yellow Iraqi army bastards...
They don't deserve the title of soldier, they make me sick...
Some of you Lefties will like this: I caught an error on Fox News: Claimed 1000 "Rangers" had parachuted into northern Iraq. While I'm certain some of them were Rangers, a great many of them are just paratroopers.

How do we know the women aren't willing accomplices? They were in Somalia.

British Air Marshall Brian Byrd(Equivalent in rank to General Franks according to Fox News - why an Air Marshall would be supreme commander of Britsh forces in the coalition is beyond me) just finished lambasting Al-Jazeera in a Centcom briefing on Fox. He was upset by Al-Jazeera broadcasting images of Britsh soldiers that had been executed by Iraqis. The Al-jazeera rep at the briefing read statement saying that they were trying to show the truth and the Air Marshall said that was not the case in showing these images to the world. Can't find any links because it was just broadcast right now on Fox.

I just saw the video too. Al Jazeera also showed the dead from the market incident- no censorship. On BBC, it was edited because of it's graphic nature.
Just heard that the New York Times reported that one of the tankers from the pair of knocked out Abrams is dead.
the shock of the first days of war among the coalition troops, when they expected an easy trek across Iraq but encountered stiff resistance, is now wearing off. They are now being "absorbed" into the war. Now the coalition actions are becoming more coherent and adequate. The coalition command is gradually taking the initiative away from the Iraqis, which is in part due to the reliance of the Iraqi command on inflexible defensive tactics.
Not one sizable city captured:
However, despite of the increased combat effectiveness, the coalition forces have so far failed to capture a single sizable town in Iraq. Only by the end of the sixth day the British marine infantry was able to establish tentative control over the tiny town of Umm Qasr.
Mr. Sandman...:
The sand is literally "eating up" the equipment. Sand has a particularly serious effect on electronics and transmissions of combat vehicles. Already more than 40 tanks and up to 69 armored personnel carriers have been disabled due to damaged engines; more than 150 armored vehicles have lost the use of their heat-seeking targeting sights and night vision equipment. Fine dust gets into all openings and clogs up all moving parts.
The 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One) is being airlifted into airbase secured by the paratroopers yesterday. Included in the airlift are tanks and other heavy equiipment. Looks like we're going to build a Northern front whether we like it or not.
Oh, within the same story there is also confirmation that there indeed WAS a convoy out of Baghdad that was "pounded into oblivion" by B-52's according to an embedded reporter. These contradictory reports of columns moving where is atrting to get a tad annoying.

Protestors tying up traffic here in NYC. They staged a "Die in" on Fifth avenue by lying down in front of oncoming traffic. I do believe that there were more "dead" protestors than there were dead Iraqi civilians but anyway.
Their actions attracted a counter protest in front of St. Pat's with one woman holding up a sign "Traitors - Have you forgotten 9/11"
Protestors also aimed their ire at the media with signs like "Don't Parrot Right Wing Propaganda"

FNC reports they have executed more prisoners, some British troops, this time. P.M. Blair just made a statement on it.
May the cowards who did that die a slow death...
Just as after we laid waste the Third Reich, there should be plenty of nooses available for war criminals to stain their pants as they dangle and twitch...
