Umm our Reserve and Guard are over-strength, to the point where I have to have a silver star to get promoted in my MOS right now. The Air Force currently has a year long waiting list to enlist. The recession overrode any war weariness that might have existed.

OK I concede that my knowledge was out of date. That article was from 2009.

Air Force enlistments always tend to be high, same with the Coast Guard. Is that true for the Army, which is what the article is about?
