Just how unlikely is it? Is it simply inconceivable, or just difficult?
(B) multiple witnesses report suspicious persons on the grassy knoll, exclusive of Oswald's position;
In the aftermath of a major event like that, people start recalling all kinds of things. Multiple people witness UFO abductions too. But it takes more than that to dismiss the professional forensics analysis done at the time, does it not?
(C) various organizations had more reason than one single nut - which rapidly becomes "several single nuts" in more complex theories - to kill John F. Kennedy.
The fact that many people had motivations does not mean that many people actually fired shots.

The shots have never been recreated. Most scholars and pundits work off that basis and then jump off to more elaborate theories. It was definately possible for Oswald to have made the shots, though you've got to give a guy with admittadly poor marksmanship all the benefit of the doubt you possibly can. I shy away from saying that it's simply inconcievable, because this is one of those, "Well, anything's possible..." situations. In my opinion, however, Oswald didn't fire all the shots himself.

Multiple witnesses recalled both a police officer in the area (who incidentially told them to leave despite the general crowd's closer proximity to the motorcade anyway) as well as a puff of smoke. I concur that mass hallucination or fabrication is very possible, but am loath to chalk the eyewitness accounts to fame-seekers.

True, although I still feel Lee Harvey Oswald was insufficiently angry with Kennedy to have committed the action independantly.

I assue you are talking about the cop on the Grassy Knoll, this guy is known as "Badge man", he appears in some photos, though he is a little hard to make out.

Bingo. And even though I find it a bit far-fetched that the French might have had a hand in the affair, men interviewed in their prisons admit that such deception wasn't beyond the assassins they suspect.

Way I see it is that as of right now, the best we've got is that Oswald did it. I wouldn't be surprised if in reality he had some helpers, but at this point, that's just speculation.

I doubt it was a huge conspiracy, because given the amount of interest the case has, you'd think something would've turned up by now. As it is, there are a bunch of theories, but nothing concrete. If there was a massive conspiracy, but they've gotten this far without ever being taken down, then I congratulate them.

In theory, we'll see in 2030-whatever if the government really knows anything more.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

I did. When the doctor threatened to give me a "vaccination" for my fourth-grade physical exam, I confessed to everything.

It was phone company.
In my talons, I shape clay, crafting life forms as I please. If I wish, I can smash it all. Around me is a burgeoning empire of steel. From my throne room, lines of power careen into the skies of Earth. My whims will become lightning bolts that raze the mounds of humanity. Out of chaos, they will run and whimper, praying for me to end their tedious anarchy. I am drunk with this vision. God: the title suits me well.
