If memory serves, the F-117 is as good as anything from the front, but is less wonderful from the sides and back. However, this came at an incredible aerodynamic penalty. Recent aircraft are no better in frontal-aspect RCS (although some are better from other directions, especially the B-2), but they do not pay the stiff performance price that the F-117 suffered due to the facets.

Essentially making the F-117 a two-trick pony. Granted the type of missions they do, no one else other than the B-2s could do them without suffering much higher losses.
