Had I been at that rally, that guy would not get out without being severly beaten. I happened to witness the collapse of the Twin Towers from my old High School.
I happened to be in Berkeley the evening of September 11th 2001, and the "candle-light vigil" for the victims turned into a complete hate-fest against americans.
One of the Student Government's senators actually said something to the effect of "I wish I could have been in New York to see those capitalists die." He was not shouted down. He was applauded.
This is one reason why I moved the hell out of there as soon as I could!
At least the commies here in NYC know that if they say anything of the sort, they will be thrown down from the nearest skyscraper, pushed under a subway train, or hung from a branch in Central Park. And we have a lot of commies at Hunter college.

Seriously, every couple of days there would be a new flyer posted on every surface in town with PROTEST in huge letters, and the in tiny print the cause that the protest was about. It was entirely a social/"F-- society!" thing and almost nobody at any of the MANY protests knew anything about what they were yelling about. (Especially not ISO bastards like ASUC Senator Chuck McNally.)
They tore the doors off of their hinges, smashed windows, disrupted classes (during a final!!) and assaulted counter-protesters (especially the third world Liberation Front and some of the BAMNers). It was no coincidence that every time there was a huge protest the stores on Telegraph Ave. were looted and vandalized. It was about anarchy and attention and fitting in in a mob mentality, these people worked themselves into a frenzy, and it was UGLY.

What's worse is that, in the case of schools, the teachers actually encouraged their students to wag school and go to the protests. No, education is not in trouble in my country...

No, but - for example - if USA supports Israel financially only an idiot would think that this wouldn't cause anti-american sentiments to rise among people opposed to Israel... or if USA places troops in Saudi Arabia and Osama bin-Laden doesn't like it, then guess what...
I'm NOT trying to legitimize the claims of the USA covering up a war against North Korea or the guy who praised the 9/11 incident. (which I still have trouble believing)
