I think it pretty much makes sense when electing MPs. Helps keep them honest if they have to be ellected on their own merits. If you go with a list system then you could well end up having to vote for complete idiots to get the people you want in.

I do think there should be something better available, but haven't read about anything especially better when it comes to this.

Do you support a straight proportional representation system with lists or something else?
