That mentality is the cause of the two party system- but apparently you're too big of a fucking idiot to realize that.
Could we have a rebuttal that isn't this fucking insipid 'IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!' bullshit repeated ad infinium ad naeseum? My god, this shit is annoying to watch.

You shitheads want the real reason the Third Parties fail? They don't actually fucking try. They don't raise money, they don't campaign for any seats but the Presidential, they don't, in fact, do anything but show up once every four years, spit out extremist tripe, and then whine when no one respects them.

HERE'S AN IDEA! Get a third party which isn't extremist morons, campaign for local seats, build a solid voter base, and THEN go for President. Oh, wait, that requires more effort than 'WAH! WAH! YOUR NEGATIVE THINKING IS WHY IT DOESN'T WORK!'.

That's a song I've been singing for years. I'd thank you for the return of my lyric sheet.

I wasn't defending the actions of third parties we have now- I was simply stating that its foolish to accept a two party system as sacrosant simply because its the status quo.
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

No, it's the way of the world now because of the above statements, and retards like you blindly repeating 'WAH IT'S YOUR FAULT' are morons who should be verbally smacked around for your trouble.

Actually, the Green, Libertarian, and Sociailst parties have been running candidates for local and county offices, as well as the odd state legislative seat, for years now. Some have actually been elected with the most successful of them being Bernie Sanders (Socialist-VT), and Ron Paul (Libertarian—TX) (though Paul is a defector from the GOP but I believe did get reelected as Libertarian). But what electoral victories they do manage to score are few and far between at this point and they don't have a national machine on a par with either the Democratic or Republican parties. That makes a huge difference in terms of competitiveness for higher office.

I sit corrected on the local seats issue. Conceded, Degan.

I can already hear a Hollywood screenplay writer scribbling this idea down.
