Correct.

E-1 = Pvt. Private.

E-2 = PFC. Private First Class.

E-3 = LCpl. Lance Corporal

E-4 = Cpl. Corporal

E-5 = Sgt. Sargeant.

All you maggots WILL remember this! DISMISSED! (I'll probably be shipping out to Boot Camp in June, so this is good to know).

:D

Every marine is first and foremost a rifleman, so don't fuck with ANY of them.
Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.

Duh! Do you think I just make this shit up?
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

No, I didn't mean to insinuate that. It was purely for educational purposes incase any of our members want join up with the branch. Just knowing the ranks earns me a starting rank of PFC instead of a Private, so its very good to know for anyone with an interest. Also lots of referals before shipping out can get you other nice perks. Getting five to walk into the recruiting office gets me a free set of Dress Blues.

I apologize if I offended you.

*cue tacky Marine advertisment...*

 I had to sign for 6 to get my E3, however; back in the day, everyone got Dress Blues in their kit. And damn, do the ladies like the Blues.

If you wanna be set in BT; memorise BAMSIS and SMEAC along with SALUTE. Study up on importent Marine events too, 1775, Gimo, Tripoli, Bellue Woods, etc.....

You might even end up as the 'scribe' of your platoon.
