Bizarre Muslim Smear Agaisnt Obama

Post by FSTargetDrone »

Watch the first few minutes from this video on 60 Minutes last night.

Now, who has the better answer, Obama or Clinton?

Oh, and a word to the clown in Ohio who thinks Obama is a Muslim and doesn't know the National Anthem or uses a Bible or whatever.

I wonder if you could sing the Anthem in full, sir?

A bunch of people think he's Muslim because his middle name is Hussein. I remember mentioning to someone that he goes to a christian church.

I know. The point is that Clinton, in her brilliant response to the questions about it, may just as well have been answering a question that replaced "Muslim" with "child abuser" or "drug user." All she had to do was say that his being Muslim is irrelevant.

Scary isn't it. I remember in the aftermath of 9/11 Will Smith carting out Muhammad Ali as an example that not all Muslims are bad, some are American hero's. A very good example I thought. Now just a few years later America has come to this.

If you saw the video clip, there's a guy there who said he might vote for Obama, but he still has some issues with his being a Muslim. Because he heard it somewhere.

I can guess where.

Anyway...

"Mister Obama. Are you now, or have you ever been, a Communist?"

I have to say though that fellow still thought obama was muslim and still leaned towards voting for him that says two things. Either the mans got cohones or people really don't like hillary or mccain.

I am the hammer, I am the right hand of my Lord. The instrument of His will and the gauntlet about His fist. The tip of His spear, the edge of His sword. I am His wrath just as he is my shield. I am the bane of His foes and the woe of the treacherous. I am the end.

Well, he's clearly somewhat prejudiced against Muslims and non-anthem-knowers, but, I suppose some support is better than no support at all.

Obama is a Muslim because his middle name is Hussein? Someone better tell Richard Dawkins, David Friedman, James Randi, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, Philip Pullman, George Carlin, and Pete Stark that they are Christian, in spite of what they think.

Aren't Obama's parents irreligious? Or at least one of them? I would have thought they'd pick up on that and accuse Obama of actually denying God and aspiring to such a high position so he can pass legislation to help kill innocent children before they exit the womb and give the terrorists easier access to the country.

That's what makes it so fucking hillarious, an apparent religious bigot is considering voting for someone he believes to be a member of another religion, he thinks so little of the alternatives.

"As far as I know." Go fuck yourself Hillary. Fucking christ, I would expect this out of a Republican but to see another Democrat just ever so gently nudge voters in one direction by carefully suggesting that Obama might or might not be a Muslim, its quite disgusting. How would it sound if someone said, "Bill and Hillary didn't murder Vince Foster...as far as I know."?

His mother was one of those 'Check out everything and do what you feel' types, rather remarkable for a Kansas-born woman. Obama's father and stepfather were (I believe) nonpracticing muslims. So, while he went to an Islamic school for a few years growing up, he wasn't raised muslim any more than kids of atheists who go to catholic school are raised catholic.

Ah. Well, I recall where I got the idea for Obama's parents and their stance on faith: the Wiki page for Obama. Near the bottom of the page, in the section titled "Personal Life", there's the following:
In Chapter 6 of the book [The Audacity of Hope], titled "Faith," Obama writes that he "was not raised in a religious household." He describes his mother, raised by non-religious parents, as detached from religion, yet "in many ways the most spiritually awakened person that I have ever known." He describes his Kenyan father as "raised a Muslim," but a "confirmed atheist" by the time his parents met, and his Indonesian stepfather as "a man who saw religion as not particularly useful."
Emphasis, and title of book cited, added.
