Can we rendition him to "an undisclosed location" for "enhanced interrogation" regarding "credible threats" now?
We better got to Alert Level Orange until he's brought in.

CIA director Leon Panetta says it is almost as if former vice-president Dick Cheney would like to see another attack on the United States to prove he is right in criticising President Barack Obama for abandoning the "harsh interrogation" of terrorism suspects.
"I think he smells some blood in the water on the national security issue," Mr Panetta said in an interview published in The New Yorker magazine's June 22 issue.
"It's almost, a little bit, gallows politics. When you read behind it, it's almost as if he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point."
Mr Cheney, who was a key advocate in the Bush administration of controversial interrogation methods such as waterboarding, has become as a leading Republican critic of Mr Obama's ban on harsh interrogations and his plan to shut the US military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
In a blistering May 21 speech, Mr Cheney said Obama's reversal of Bush-era policies were "unwise in the extreme" that would make the American people less safe.
Mr Panetta called Mr Cheney's actions "dangerous politics".
He told The New Yorker he had favoured the creation of an independent truth commission to look into the detainee polices of former president George W. Bush.
But the idea died in April when Mr Obama decided such a panel could be seen as politically vindictive.
Can we blame it on a terrorist blood clot when that fat fuck has another heart attack and finally dies this time?
"The 4th Earl of Hereford led the fight on the bridge, but he and his men were caught in the arrow fire. Then one of de Harclay's pikemen, concealed beneath the bridge, thrust upwards between the planks and skewered the Earl of Hereford through the anus, twisting the head of the iron pike into his intestines. His dying screams turned the advance into a panic."'
Well yeah! That's the real reason why they rounded up a shitload of random Middle Easterners, torture them, then release them: they're farming terrorists to bump the likelihood of an attack!

Can we prosecute Cheney for treason now?
The scary thing is, I can actually see this as a plausible. At least regards with the likes of Cheney.
I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.
It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.
No, I want Cheney to live. I want him to live to see something like, ohhh, I don't know, how about..... Obama signing some major MidEast peace deal or something. I want Cheney to live long enough to see that. And the total repudiation of all his sneering, conservitard bullshit politics.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around! If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!! Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!
^As well as getting slammed in the history books - those guys are so concerned with appearances and legacy that getting slammed in that arena would be the worst that could happen to them.
I mean, they are not going to trial so that is the best that can happen.

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood

The thing that really scares me is that people are listening to this guy. I mean, if I shot someone in the face while "hunting" quail, I wouldn't expect people to do anything other than ridicule me for the rest of my life.
To criticize a person for their race is manifestly irrational and ridiculous, but to criticize their religion, that is a right. That is a freedom. The freedom to criticize ideas, any ideas - even if they are sincerely held beliefs - is one of the fundamental freedoms of society. A law which attempts to say you can criticize and ridicule ideas as long as they are not religious ideas is a very peculiar law indeed. -Rowan Atkinson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Are you an idiot? Since when do hunting accidents have any bearing on arguments?

I apologize, I was just making a poor attempt at something that looks like humor.
Cheney is just doing what the republicans are good at. While in power they demonized the left while scaring the public into following their platforms. Now that they are out of power the only effective thing they can do is make themselves and the American public out to be the victims of the "tyranny" from the left. I agree with the posted article, Cheney (and the right) would be ecstatic with the validation of their rantings that an attack against Americans would bring.

Personally I think if someone is so negligent as to shoot the person they are hunting with in the face (it's not like he took a shot at a guy dressed in a deer suit making deer calls at night) then I think it is a good reflection on just how competent they are.
