I don't think that Beck honestly believes most of what he says. I think most of his on-air persona is an act, intended specifically to inspire emotional reactions in his viewers (both positive and negative) so that they will continue to watch and thus keep him employed and selling books.
His emotional outbursts, both the rage and the tears, are very obviously planned ahead of time. It's an act even if he does believe what he's saying.

People like Glenn Beck are not those who shot prisoners, gassed jews or burned villages. They are those who talked about how evil the people were to which that happened. They are those who voiced support for Hitler in order to "hold off the commies". They are those who claimed afterwards that they "did not mean it that way".

I understand that, what I was saying is that I'm tired of people comparing EVERYTHING to the Nazis. Socialized medicine, somehow a Nazi ideal. Someone wants to increase regulation, they're a Nazi.
