Part 1 of a huge investigation by two Washington Post reporters on what they dub "top secret America" - the grotesquely bloated national security complex that keeps on sucking up huge amounts of resources, growing ever larger and - perversely - ever more ineffectual, and probably on balance - quite useless*.

* i.e. particularly because they try and analyse so much (99% useless) information across a ridiculous number of agencies and sub-agencies and military commands that it all becomes a huge torrent of endless static shit.

Military-Industrial Complex, despite it's power still, is becoming a second-run to what are no doubt cottage industries springing up in this. If there's a buck to make, there's always some.
