Grayson’s FL Republican Opponent Tied To Stoning” Movement

Post by lance »

Its kind of long so I'm just posting a link. At first I thought it was kind of damning of Webster and vindictive of Grayson calling him Taliban Dan. But then it seemed kind of like the Obama-Wright/Ayers type of connection.

When I was writing about Christian Reconstructionists, they were a tiny fringe movement I used as an extreme case of "what if." The idea that one of their lot is running for Congress, is...unsettling.

Have a very nice day.

While Grayson really is an active liberal's dream, he hasn't exactly been conducting himself well enough for me to believe he'll get reelected. His ad campaign has really been half-assed, and pretty low on the truth scale at that. Some of the ads are Republican-slimy ("Why was Dan Webster afraid to serve his country?") and not at all really showing off that he knows how to put his massive war chest to good use. The local papers - the piece of junk that is the Orlando Sentinel - have been all over from Grayson from day one, manufacturing "wild shenanigans" from Grayson every week off of all his (admittedly) stunts on Capitol Hill. Essentially, Grayson's pretty close to a coolbean SDN political candidate, except he chose the I-4 belt to make his political home instead of somewhere less wishy-washy. I'm still surprised Orlando turned out for Obama in '08.
"Can I say something about destiny? Screw destiny! If this evil thing comes we'll fight it, and we'll keep fighting it until we whoop it. 'Cause destiny is just another word for inevitable and nothing's inevitable as long as you stand up, look it in the eye, and say 'You're evitable!'"
