Republicans miss Bill Clinton

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood

I'm not the biggest connaisseur of American news media but what stuns me time and time again is that the Daily Show appears to be the only news source that points out these ridiculous incongruities. Little wonder is it that in the USA the journalistic profession is getting a bad rep -- this should be the first thing news media check up on, and yet it falls to a comedic show to point out the obvious?

That piece makes me wonder if CSPAN footage will begin to become a factor in politics now that it's all digitized from 1987. If the Democrats can find Republicans supporting Romney/Obama-care in the early 90s debates over health care, it could prove damning for the establishment GOP.

Where'd you post it, I must have missed it?

Edit: Nevermind, though I would've thought you'd just combine the two into one thread about the Daily Show being like the only show that consistently points out hypocrisy.

Ah, I've seen this. When combined with the John McCain piece, I'd say that the Daily Show has done very well this week.

I personally would hope that StarshipTitanic is correct. The effect of statement clips being run with later contradicting clips, in my opinion, very good.
