Nicknamed "The Mother Of All Bombs" I heard reporters saying it was the equivelent of a small nuclear weapon. Turns out it has about 1/100 th explosive power of the tiniest tactical nuclear weapon. Talk about media sensationalism.

Its just an improved version of the famed "Daisy Cutter" from Vietnam, a 10,000 lbs bomb designed to clear helo landing sites in the dense jungle. They use them now to clear a hole in large mine fields, or to flatten defense lines or fortifications. the media did hype it badly though, chemical explosives don't holda candle to a true nuke, even a 'pee-wee' manpackable bomb.
