Eh, this is old news. They're burning oil all around Bagdad in he vain hope it will difficult the progression of the enemy troops, or diminish the bombardements accuracy.

Protestors in the UK have been interviewed saying there must have been hundreds or thousands of deaths from the bombings based on the fires they've seen.

The best the smoke can do is degrade BDA. JDAM's got give a fuck about smoke and the stealth aircraft, which have been striking don't use laser weapons.
