Nigel Farage claims EU is stalin for demanding money he embezzled

Post by Thanas »

LBC
The European Union has demanded another bill… and this time it’s £80,000 of Nigel Farage’s own money.

The MEP recently received a letter stamped by the European Parliament telling him he was being unexpectedly charged the mammoth amount.

It’s all over a quibble that one of Nigel’s staff who helps represent him as an MEP also held a post in Ukip at the same time.

The LBC presenter confirmed this was the case, but argued he had done nothing wrong as the staff member worked for Ukip on a voluntary basis.

“But they’re not happy with that,” Nigel said.

“So without any meeting. Without any request to me to provide evidence. Without any formal procedure of any kind at all, the letter tells me they’re going to take £80,000 from me.”

He continued: “And it’s now my job to prove my innocence and so what we’re actually dealing with here, these unelected people are behaving frankly like people back in Stalin’s day did.”
Uh-huh Nigel. Any time now you will be taken behind a shed to be shot, while your wife and family will get sent to gulag to suffer further abuse there. Da, comrade, we sent letter with demand for money just like in Stalin times.

These unelected Stalins from the EUSSR are gonna install FULL COMMUNISM. Nigel, you take care.

When Boris runs to defect to the EUSSR after Brexit turns out to be a catastrophe - in the man's own words - only your tiny brain will stand between you and the power of the Eurocrats, Nigel.

And believe me, the Eurocrats are smarter than you think, Nigel.

I don't know how the man could get even more ridiculous. Maybe by claiming the EU is in league with the aliens or something.

Out of curiosity, is there evidence and was there some sort of trial for him being fined that amount of money? It is a legitimate question, no matter how deserving a target, whether this is legal and justified.

There was a huge investigation by the EU's internal watchdog agency, the results of which he can dispute in court if he wants to (HINT: He won't, he just wants to make hot air out of this.)

I don't wish to derail the thread, so I'll keep this brief, but let's be clear here:

If it was sarcasm, then perhaps I overreacted (though I certainly would not call it obvious sarcasm, especially since sarcasm is inherently more difficult to detect in text than in person, due to the absence of cues like expression and tone of voice).

However, when someone has a history of seriously advocating the necessity of political violence against the far Right, why the hell should I assume they're not being serious this time?

I'll just leave it at that.

For the record, it was mostly sarcasm. Although in the event of the worst-case scenario our government is steadily limping towards, which is at least partly his fault, I really hope he gets eaten before I do.

OK. I did not want to do this but you are so fucking dense that you leave me no choice.

OFFICIAL MOD ORDER:

YOU WILL REFRAIN FROM INTERPRETING EVERYTHING AS BEING THE WORST CASE POSSIBLE AND YOU WILL REFRAIN FROM SHITTING UP EVERY GODDAMN THREAD WITH YOUR OVERREACTING PRESENCE.

IF YOU CANNOT DO THIS THEN I WILL REMOVE YOUR "CONTRIBUTIONS" FROM THE N&P FORUM.

DO NOT TALK BACK TO THIS. I AM FUCKING SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING TO EXPLAIN TO YOU THINGS EVERY GODDAMN MONTH WITHOUT YOU GETTING IT, SO THIS IS IT. NO MORE CONSIDERATE MODERATION FOR YOU, FROM HERE ON OUT IT IS PURE IRON FIST.
