Governor Brown authorizes DNA retesting in Death Row Case

Okay this case is easily one of the most controversial death row cases period. Previous testing seemed to prove his guilt but over the years proof has come out that dna may well have been planted (the guy who checked evidence out was caught forging evidence in other cases; the vial supposed to contain his blood and his blood alone had blood from two people at least and the state got very cagey about clarifying the matter).

7 months ago Nick Kristof wrote an article in the times exposing the glaring misconduct (there’s circumstantial evidence pointing to a white contract killer named lee Furrow as the true perp) and since then a great deal has happened (Furrow surrendered DNA to the defense). So now it seems like we’ll know for certain
