Aid in Iraq

Post by Ted »

So far, the only people who have sent and given out aid in Iraq has been the British, yet the Americans have "liberated" many more places than the British. Are the Americans actually going to send in aid, within the next few days, when it is really needed?

The US government already bought something like 600,000 tons of wheat and other food to ship to Iraq. I have no idea what its status is

Does the term, "in the pipeline" mean anything to you?
Also, the fighting forces are being actively discouraged about giving out food and water. This seems cruel, until you factor in the mobs of civilians this would creat, upping the risk factor for BOTH civvies and fighter.

1 suicide bomber and a food/water crowd, is a bad news.

A curious point. Since when is it the responsibility of the invaders to care for the indigs?
It is a great idea, for winning the peace, but the priorty is winning the war FIRST.

We've already sent in food packets to civilians, IIRC.

It's just humane. These people need the food, and during a war, supplies may be cut off, and people displaced.
