My hat's off to PFC Lynch for doing her job well and then surviving long enough to be rescued. However, I think that making a TV movie out of her ordeal is just Hollywood's way of saying, "See! Women can serve in the Infantry too!" She used the skills she'd learned in Basic Training (quite recently for her) to destroy the enemy, as did many of her cohorts who also ran out of ammunition and were then either captured or killed. Does that mean that women can be fully integrated into infantry combat line companies? No, but that is how I foresee Hollywood trying to spin this...

We were all wrong. Not lifetime, not TNT, not USA... It was NBC.

I could've sworn it was somebody else. (can't remember who though)
And this is why you don't watch anything produced by Ronald D. Moore after he had his brain surgically removed and replaced with a bag of elephant semen.-Gramzamber, on why Caprica sucks

I read in the paper that in her hometown, the churches all hung signs saying "Thank GOD for saving our Jessie." It would be nice if the Special Ops guys got some credit too ...

"It is almost impossible to express how grateful we are to the brave American service members who participated in Jessi's rescue and to the courageous Iraqi citizens who risked their lives to make her rescue possible. Jessi is alive because of their sacrifices," they said in a statement.
