Moral Laws
Hate 'em. Just hate 'em. Can anyone PLEASE tell me HOW they can LEGALLY justify a no-lap-dancing law??? And then there's talk around here of BANNING ALL STRIP CLUBS! WTF? If you don't like a strip club, or what goes on in one, then here's a tip: DON'T GO INSIDE! Easy, no?
But no, you get the "pro-family" groups who want to ban and restrict them all, and idiot-ass city councils and county commissions who won't say no, and go ahead and pass those laws...
Assholes.
So, someone, please, tell me: can you think of any LEGAL justification for restricting and/or banning strip clubs outright? I can't think of any statutes or anything that can be used to back it up... And anyone know if things like these hvae been taken to court, and what precedent there is in any such cases?

I can see no justification for any form of total ban. Building cases to shut down individual establishments for violations of other laws is another deal though.

Actually, the Amish live pretty sad lives. Genetic disease is rife, as the small gene pool and heavy inbreeding of Amish communities leads to terrible genetic errors. They rely on others to provide medical care for their children born without limbs, or stunted.
It's a sad state of affairs in Amish country.

though conversly the small gene pool in the amish could be one of the last communities where there could be evolution of the human race going on. According to punctuated equilibrium speciation occurs in small inbred groups who can obviously have a trait rapidly spred throughout the population. You also have lots of deformed children, but so long as they dont end up breeding, you do get the remainder of the people rather "clean" of many of those unwanted genes after a certain amount of time.

I firmly believe that the people that want to ban lap dancing are the ones in the most need of one. Who's it hurting? The well paid strippers? The more then well relaxed clients? The club that draws revenue from people just looking for a bit fun? The government that receives taxes from said establishment? Or the people that don't like the idea of strip clubs and don't usually have anything to do with them anyway?
