I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Interesting, I wouldn't be surprised if its real, shouldn't be that hard to determine its authenticity with a proper examination.

Sputnik is a heritage of all of mankind. It is moraly reprehensible that such a thing could be turned into a commercial object. Imagine if someone started selling the original Wright brothers flyer or the Eagle lander from Apollo 11 (actualy the lander is there you just have to travel to the moon to get it).

Sputnik one is one of the most important pieces of human history and deserves a place in an aerospace musuem not a collectors home. If the russians can not pay for it the US goverment should buy it and put it in the smithsonian intstitute for preserving it for future generations.

I'll buy it, I'd treat it really nicely and I'd feed it and walk it and everything!

but failing that I agree with evilcat... It should be preserved as an important historical item.
