blackout claim of responsibility...or maybe not

Post by Col. Crackpot »

it is from the world tribune after all. decide for yourself.

http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribun ... ing_5.html

some highlights:
Al Qaida's Abu Hafs Brigades has claimed responsibility for the blackout last week in the Northeast and Midwest United States. A communiqué by the Abu Hafs Brigades made reference to Operation Quick Lightning in the Land of the Tyrant of this Generation."
an islamic fundie with a 4yh grade science book wrote:'we heard amazing statements made by the American and Canadian enemies which have nuclear physics universities and space agencies, that lightning hit and destroyed the two plants. And we are supposed to believe this nonsense. If the blackout occurred in one or two cities, their lie would have been credible. But the fact is that the blackout hit the entire East and part of Canada.'

The fire-breathing dragon in my garage caused the 1929 stock market crash

Who cares, lets believe them and punish them regardless of how valid their claim is. :)

Maybe it has something to do with the Timecube. 8)

Mine caused the Buffalo Bills to lose four straight Super Bowls.

They're only hurting their own credibility with this bullshit. I mean, what was the objective of this "Operation Quick Lightining"? Leave people without power for less than 24 hours? Yeah, real impressive there, pal.
Don't hate; appreciate!

How can there be love and morality without the fire breating dragon living in my garage? You pretend you don't believe because you want to go run wild and live life in your own worldly way. If the beauty of the universe, and the slackassedness of the Buffalo Bills can not convince you of the obvious, then you will one day burn!

I agree :)

Actually, I was wondering until how long this popped up.

Frankly, I think the entire claim of a claim is bullshit.

If Al Qadea was going to try anything like this, a simple power failure would not have been the entire plan.

I hate to say it but...

If a terrorist network is going to knock out power over an area, what went out is hardly anything. They'd have taken out a whole shit load of stuff at once, crippling the entire country, announced it minutes after it happened all over the fucking place, then had said "and if the US doesn't start taking it up the ass from us, we will keep it up"

I mean, come on. That black out was a child's prank compared to what they'd have actually tried.

the biggest problem now is preventing this from happening again, intentionally. if it was caused by powerlines overloading and having to redirect electricity, causing more overloading, and thus systematic shutdown of the grid, then it would be relatively simple to fly a plane over a single long distance transmission line tower and drop a bit of chain or wire and short out the cables, forcing more redirects. Theres no security around the long distance transmission lines, so its not like anyone would get caught in the act.

I believe that the most likely theory here based on evidence is that the Buffalo Bills have failed to consistently put more points on the board than the team in opposition at the Super Bowl. They need to bring OJ back so he can once again rip through the helpless defenders on the other team.

Just buy a gas turbine that way when the power goes out you can boast to the entire county that you have power and they don't. Those fuckers are loud. :)
