California political possibilities in 2004

This is my personal opinion, but the one person who came out of this looking better than before, who has got the public attention and is un-tarnished by the recent politics is Maria Shiver. She has almost been catapulted to a minor Hilary Clinton role, that California republicans would be willing to support. Unlike her husband, she can go beyond governor. She has played all of her political cards right if she wants to get into politics. I am almost willing to bet she will be running for the Senate here in 2004. With the backing of Arnold it would almost be a shoe in, a Democrat with republican support in CA, plus the Kennedy name. I see a future politcal power house. Some intresting political moves, if it is infact what is going on. Maybe she is just a good supporting wife of Arnold, but I am going to keep my eye on her.

I dont see her running. She has never shown any interest in running. Arnold has. Also, Arnold can run for other offices. He just cant run for President. He will be able to run for a second term for CA governor. He can run for Congress or the Senate.
