OK, assuming that there is no middle of the road or extreeme, but you are either Socially Conservative or Socially Liberal. No moderate, no ultra-conservative, no ultra-liberal, simply conservative or liberal. You have to fall into one or the other.

EDIT: revised to clarify that we are talking about social conservatism, not fiscal conservatism.

What the hell does that mean? Are we talking about fiscal conservatism vs liberalism, social conservatism vs liberalism, or both at once? If it's both at once, the question becomes impossible to answer because I'm a social liberal and a fiscal conservative.

Guess I should have clarified that. I was actually meaning social conservatism/liberalism.

Could you please edit my post to say "...but you are either socially Conservative or Liberal."

Well, I dunno what you mean by 'how liberal'. Nationalized health care is pretty much the norm. Communists are still definately Liberal extremists. Socialists aren't really seen as extreme.

I guess moderately liberal. I support gay rights, separation of church and state, but not affirmative action (or at least, not in the way it's currently implemented).

Socially liberal. Like many here it seems, I support gay rights, separation of church and state, and so forth, though not affirmative action in the way it's currently implimented.
