Thank goodness for that, although they were picking up seats in Newcastle City Council elections when I left, which was worrying, because the main standpoints of the BNP (anti-immigrant and all that) have no basis as a problem in the North-East, so either the BNP voters have a handle on the big picture, or there's some other reason for it.
