Rumsfeld humiliated on the airwaves
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Oh suck SHITTTTTTT. That's what I've been waiting for. Notice how he, just like every other administration official questioned on it, denies saying anything like that, and then when their own words are read back at them (with either an explicit or uncontroversial implicit statement as to the immediacy/imminence/grave danger of hte Iraqi threat), they then immediately fall back on their "the best intelligence" mantra.

I particularly like the awkward silence when he was trying to come up with an excuse ... honestly you could almos see the little light bulb in his brain flickering!Stofsk wrote:Did anybody else notice Rumsfeld squirm? Talk about karma coming back to bite you on the arse.

That's because he was hit in the face with a political flanged mace. The other guy effectively said, "You sir, are a dirty liar, and I'm going to read the incontrovertible proof of it to you."Xenophobe3691 wrote:ROFL, I love how he just sits there for a few seconds going "Um...um...um...um..."

Because otherwise the American people might vote these utter morons out of office. This is inherently evil, didn't you know?Hamel wrote:How is that a good thing?

Bah, it doesn't make any difference. Not too long ago, someone (one of the women at ABC I think) interviewed Shrubby and asked him about the WMD's. Specifically, she asked him if the invasion was a mistake if we were told Iraq had the weapons when they only had the potential to plan to start making the weapons someday. Shrub said, "what's the difference?" This is just one more little incident out of many. The administration has been called out many, many times now, and the people just don't care. They already expect politicians to be liars, so they aren't surprised. Most Americans don't take the political process seriously, so it is unlikely that this will cost Bush the election.

Most people who vote Bush wil vote him "because they always vote Republican". They don't want to hear about what the current administration did wrong. Those are the types that watch Fox news and think everything else is just liberal slander.Johonebesus wrote:Most Americans don't take the political process seriously, so it is unlikely that this will cost Bush the election.
