Human Stupidity on the Rise!

The local radio station also has a morning show and part of that morning is asking listeners to call in and vote for the most idiotic example of human stupidity. I didn't catch them all today but one I did catch is hilarious and sad.

Apparently a German couple had been living together for eight years and they were confused as to why they didn't have a baby yet. They eventually discovered that you must have sex in order to have a baby. Basically they were sitting around waiting for a stork or some miracle to deliver a baby into their lives.

That reminds me of the incident in the Pinellas County School System where some idiot decided to steal a chunk of sodium. It started reacting with his sweat with predictable consequences ... and then he tried dousing it with water.

Yeah, he had put it in his pocket to boot. Someone wasn't paying attention in chemistry class. That is the reason why we couldn't use sodium in chemistry class in high school ... after that incident it was apparently removed from all schools (though there are rumors that some teachers still smuggle it in for their class)

Ironically, I remember sodium getting banned in my school district too.

However, the rumors of teachers getting some anyway were quite true. Wheee. :twisted:

Of course, in this case, I heard that sodium got banned because someone had flushed some down the toilet....
