Hey, I'm not the one who counted it- and I wouldn't include it if I were responsible for the site. However, the majority of the death's ARE from US hands (not that I have a huge problem with this mind you, accident's happen in war). I would be suprised if we didn't have roughly a 10-1 kill ratio even after Iraqi carbombs are eliminated.

This database includes up to 7,350 deaths which resulted from coalition military action during the "major-combat" phase prior to May 1st 2003.

Hmmm this does not look good for Bush. If the death's keep rising in an election year he could lose. Kerry should captialize on this and concentrate on sending the message that Bush is wasting American lives for an worthless cause.

Eh, what do these things mean? We sent over a 100,000 troops over there, haven't we? Maybe it's just me, but I think 100,000 or even just 30,000 would be making a fairly huge impact every day in Iraq but umm, obviously it isn't.

So, is this all mis-administration or is there something I'm missing?

Now, there's more to it than that. The brilliant plan to completely destroy the existing government means there's no mechanism for control.. More sane plans involve a decapitation attack and climbing into the existing structure, much like a hermit crab finding a shell and clambering into a new home.

There's other factors, of course. Terrorists coming in from outside of Iraq and stirring the shitpot don't help, as do many other factors. But it comes down to the fact that occupation has always been fucking dirty business, especially when you're a twit on invasion day.

thus 3 fold is 3x3

thus to inflict 20 fold times as many causalties woild be 400,800 Iraqis.
