A young Republican was caught on tape kicking a woman who was lying on the ground as the police were arresting her.

But he wasn't arrested. Why? He did it in front of cameras and several thousand other Republicans, AND the police. Were all the Republicans in the area of the floor afflicted with Sgt Schultz's "I see NOSSING!" disorder? His picture is posted. Why haven't they turned him in?

At the RNC, Kerry supporters were seen sucker punching a man in the face, and three beat the crap out of an undercover cop.

Who gives a fucking rat's ass? You get that many radical assholes together in one spot, that kind of thing will happen. No matter if they're supporting a democrat, Repub, or a winning basketball team.

Because the secret service didn't see it happen maybe? When they get a hold of the tape the police may issue a warrant for arrest, especially if the young women decideds to press charges.

Perhaps their orders were to arrest just the protestors at that time. The city police probably have jurisdiction over assaults. At least that'd be my guess as to why they didn't arrest him.

The Secret Service agents were providing security for the convention, not just there to round up protesters. There is no reason they shouldn't have taken a violent individual who was clearly out of control into custody.

It's certainly better than they ignored a crime being committed in their full view, which is what it seems people are accusing them of. Besides we should look into their riot laws, those may have some interesting information.

No it's called investigation instead of just going out and saying. "yeah those secret service agents ignored a crime being committed in their presense"

If they did ignore though they should lose their jobs.

Ok, I've seen the video. Maybe the guy wasn't arrested because he DIDN'T kick her? Even the commentray say he APPEARS to help "drag her to the ground" (which he didn't) then (appears) to kick her. I didn't see him kick her, did you?

I was just about to bring this up. I've watched the video several times now and I just see an eradicate action from him that could have him simply trying to hurry out of the way.

Here is the conversation between him and the reporter.

Reporter: We actually have you on camera kicking one of the protesters.
Young Republican: ...
Reporter: Did you kick one of the protesters?
Young Republican: I...don't...believe so. I dunno.
Reporter: We have you on camera kicking one.
Young Republican: Hmmm.

It seems surprised.

Frankly, I don't think he kicked her at all that would explain why he was dumbstruck and why the secret service didn't place him under arrest.
