Who are you voting for? (Mid September)

Post by Straha »

Right, I just want to see how the populace of SD.net fluctuates its voting support over the time to come, and try and find out how many people here will vote for who.

So, with the minimum of political arguments, who are you voting for?

I'm still looking for a third party. If I don't find one then I won't vote for anyone.

I'm in the same boat as MoO.

Until I find someone to vote for I plan on the default "None of the Above" vote by leaving the part for president blank.

Unless we all want to get together with a write in vote?

Write in for Dean.

If I were an American, I'd look for a third party that best fits my personal views, because neither of the big fish look too appealing (I can't be more specific, because I'm not too familiar with US third parties)...

I'm leaning more toward Kerry, because as I view it, if both candidates are undesirable, then there'd be no harm in change. And I'd prefer if he lost the popular vote, but won in the Electoral College, just to see the reaction from both sides.

Plan on voting, but not for president at the moment. If pushed, I'd prefer Bush over Kerry but not by a whole bunch. Mostly for the ability of the congress to get shit done but not for much else.

They did, but they lost. The FLA Supreme Court ruled 6-1 to keep Nader on the ballot.

Oh good. I hadn't caught the followup on the decision. Still, is that what happened in Virginia?

That strategy accured to me too, but I just can't do it. Dean might have (and I mean might have) swayed me, but not Kerry.

Sis-boom-bah, baby. The thought of Bush taking the Oval Office for another four-year joyride makes me feel nauseated, so even though I never thought I'd do it, I'm voting to keep someone out of office instead of voting to elect someone in. Nasty shit, but there it is.

Meh, imo, they're about equal in their blah-ness. I'll probably leave that one blank, with no chad.
